Sewing with Knit Fabrics
Sewing with knits is a slightly different skill set from sewing with wovens. I recommend having good basic machine mastery before attempting knits, because picking stitches out of knits is no picnic, and you'll have to learn to use different settings on the machine to get good results. But at the same time, knits can be wonderfully forgiving and easy to sew once a few techniques are learned, and best of all, they are heavenly to wear.
I love designing my own knits because I enjoy the comfort and easy care of a knit garment, but I prefer wearing something more polished than a t-shirt. My knit tops that I have made are my favorite every items in my wardrobe and can be dressed up or down.
